Frequently Asked Questions
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy uses nutrition and targeted support of the foundations of health (digestion, blood sugar regulation, stress, nutrient dense diet, and sleep) to balance the body and obtain optimal health and function. This is done with commitment and consistency, as making these lifestyle and nutritional changes takes time and is not a "quick-fix". We take this journey together so that you're supported the entire way.
What are your credentials?

Registered Nurse: RN (2012)
How is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner different from a Dietitian?
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I am taught from a holistic/functional medicine focus, where Dietitians are taught in the western medicine model of care, that is largely based on pharmaceuticals and treating disease. My focus is on finding the true root cause of your issues so that we can restore your body back to optimal function through nutrition & lifestyle changes and supplementation as necessary. My focus is much broader than just nutrition, I focus on your daily habits, mental health, lifestyle, exercise/movement, and sleep. This allows me to address the whole person and not just one part of your life.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance, but I do have a payment plan available. By not accepting insurance this allows me to practice how I feel is best suited for each individual person and my recommendations aren’t guided by what insurance will allow me to do. This gives me more freedom to spend more time understanding your needs and gives me a broader range of recommendations to get you back to feeling your best.
